Your Purpose
As a Junior Associate in Corporate and Contract Law, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our legal operations across various international markets. You will report and work closely with a Legal Director to ensure that our Company adheres to all legal and regulatory requirements in several jurisdictions and that the contracts and undertakings of the Company comply with applicable legal standards and the Company’s policies. Your duties will span across contract review, compliance checks, corporate governance, and advising on legal risks associated with new and existing markets.

Who You Are
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree or equivalent from an accredited law school.
- License to practice law in Mexico is required.
- one year of experience in corporate and/or contract law.
- Strong understanding of business law and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory; additional language skills are a plus due to the international scope of operations.
What You Will Do
- Legal Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with international laws and regulations applicable. Monitor legal risk in documentation and advise the Company accordingly.
- Contract Drafting and Management: Draft, review, and modify contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure the company's legal rights are protected.
- Corporate Governance: Assist in maintaining the company’s corporate governance practices and policies, including board meetings and compliance with corporate governance standards.
- Regulatory Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive research on international regulations impacting the FinTech sector. Provide actionable insights to keep the company ahead of regulatory changes.
- Legal Advisory: Offer timely legal advice on a variety of corporate and contract law matters, including corporate book-keeping, powers-of-attorney and service agreements, ensuring legal issues are resolved in the company's best interest.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with various departments to identify and mitigate legal issues in business operations. Liaise with external legal advisors as required.
- Training and Development: Participate in legal workshops and training sessions to stay updated with the latest developments in international fintech regulations.
