What you’ll be responsible for:

Circle is seeking a Sr.Principal Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, and evolution of the governance and network operations of the Circle Payments Network. You will be responsible for defining and driving the product vision for the infrastructure that underpins one of the core values of the network; “trust” - enabling a secure, transparent, and compliant ecosystem for digital asset transactions. You’ll own the development of a platform for internal tools, risk modeling systems, governance features and network operations that facilitate responsible network growth and enable participants to satisfy their regulatory and compliance requirements across jurisdictions and transact in accordance to their risk appetite.

As the product leader, you will define the long-term product vision for a platform that enables CPN’s product capabilities to scale with trust and operational rigor as the network grows globally. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, AI/ML, compliance, risk, finance, and operations teams to deliver systems and features that are secure, scalable, and intelligent by default. This role demands an entrepreneurial product thinker who thrives in complexity, has a deep technical and regulatory understanding, and can translate ambitious ideas into scalable product outcomes.

We are seeking someone with a demonstrated history of successfully launching several external user facing products and internal tools, owning and managing large, complex program areas and engaging with cross-functional teams, and numerous stakeholders, directly and through influence. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing compliance, risk and business tooling, systems and platform needs, ability to assess multiple competing needs and defining product strategy and demonstrated agility and ability to adapt to an ever-changing landscape. Your leadership will directly influence how institutions and developers interact with CPN and how trust and transparency are encoded into its core architecture.

What you'll work on:

  • Define and execute the product strategy for CPN trust infrastructure, including tooling for onboarding and real-time monitoring.

  • Drive the productization of compliance services, credentialing systems, and counterparty risk tooling tailored to the needs of a permissioned network.

  • Partner closely with engineering and data teams to deliver robust, scalable systems that ensure transparency, auditability, and adherence to CPN’s governance frameworks.

  • Engage with external stakeholders including members to ensure the product experience supports CPN participation requirements and operational excellence.

  • Identify and remove friction in network operations through modular, policy-compliant workflows that accelerate decision-making and member onboarding.

  • Manage product documentation, communicate updates clearly across the organization, and track performance of features and metrics that underpin trust and accountability in CPN.

  • Build deep relationships and create strategic alliances to establish trust with key stakeholders across legal, risk, compliance, engineering, product, partner, etc. to accelerate delivery of risk and compliance initiatives.

  • Partner with all key stakeholders to define the product requirements, develop insights and write detailed user stories to deliver features and functionality to scale the Circle Payments Network.

  • Ensure that the CPN platform delivers regulatory-grade performance and reliability, while accelerating innovation through composability and reusability.

  • Proactively identify business opportunities across the company, process gaps, roadblocks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies that will negatively impact risk and compliance platform efforts and mitigate them.

What you’ll bring to Circle:

Sr. Principal Product Manager

  • 15+ years of experience in fintech, crypto, or regulated financial services with a focus on compliance, infrastructure, or risk platforms.

  • Demonstrated success in building and scaling complex B2B or platform products in regulated environments.

  • Deep familiarity with compliance tooling including KYC, AML, and sanctions screening in financial ecosystems.

  • Strong understanding of permissioned networks, governance frameworks, and institutional onboarding workflows.

  • You are a creative product mind, an avid problem solver and a highly collaborative team member.

  • Exceptional product judgment and an ability to operate in highly cross-functional, ambiguous environments.

  • You are a self-starter and fast-moving when it comes to putting plans into motion – you don't need to work from a script.

  • Executive presence with an ability to influence and work hands-on with other cross-functional team leaders, such as lawyers, engineers, product managers, data analysts, operations analysts in improving compliance processes and systems.

  • Highly quantitative, analytical, and business minded with a data-driven approach to decision making.
