Our R&D team pushes the boundaries of what's possible in AI and data science—but even brilliant minds need brilliant operations. You'll help shape how we hire, grow, and share our research with the world. We're looking for someone who sees systems where others see chaos, who can optimize how genius gets organized, and who gets excited about making smart people even more effective.
The R&D Team:
- Our R&D team is composed of data scientists, analysts, and ML engineers spread across different cutting-edge research fronts
- We work on diverse research areas: geospatial intelligence, lending algorithms, graph networks, and other breakthrough applications
- You'll work directly within our R&D team as a core member, not external support
- Collaborate on hiring strategy, talent pipeline, and team growth initiatives
- Lead and organize our open source initiative to showcase CloudWalk's research contributions to the community
- Partner with researchers on scientific writing, helping translate complex research into clear, impactful publications
- We love data and technology—and we use both to make our teams operate like well-oiled machines

What the Job Entails:
- Optimize how our R&D team operates, grows, and delivers impact through data-driven insights
- Design and improve systems that help data scientists, ML engineers, and researchers work more effectively
- Combine data analysis, process improvement, and technical operations to scale our capabilities
- Help showcase our research projects and achievements to broader audiences
- Create documentation and develop AI-assisted algorithms to automate manual processes
Main Tasks:
- Analyze and propose improvements to R&D team hiring processes through data-driven insights
- Create and optimize online assessments and technical programming cases for hiring
- Build automation solutions using LLM agents and scripts to reduce manual operational tasks
- Create and optimize online assessments and technical programming cases for hiring
- Support our open source initiative and content creation to promote our team's work
- Build integrations with external platforms to automate workflows
- Help other team members write technical documentation and research communications
What You'll Need:
- Initiative to learn, investigate, experiment—you'll be optimizing systems you help design
- Curiosity of a researcher combined with the execution mindset of an operations expert
- Experience with Python, or eagerness to learn quickly (most of our automation is Python-based)
- Comfortable building solutions from scratch and experimenting with new tools
- Research experience and systematic thinking approach (academic or industry background)
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and process improvement instincts
- Ability to communicate and debate in English and Portuguese
- Interest in operational efficiency and making brilliant people more effective
Nice to Have:
- Advanced degree (Masters/PhD) in any field - or proven experience with research methodology
- Experience with scientific writing, academic publishing, or research communication
- Knowledge of open source community management and project coordination
- Experience with technical writing, content creation, and translating complex research for broader audiences
- Knowledge of basic statistical analysis and experimentation design
- Experience with Git, version control systems, and collaborative development workflows
- Experience with automation tools, scripting, and workflow optimization
- Experience with API integrations and data manipulation
- Experience with LLM agent development or AI-assisted workflow automation
- Experience using AI tools for productivity enhancement and coding assistance (ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.)
