About the job

We're looking for a Collections Agent to join our Operations Team. As a Collections Agent you will be responsible for executing hands-on collections activities to ensure timely recovery of overdue payments while maintaining professional relationships with SME customers. You will work directly with active cases, contacting customers and following up on overdue payments. The role plays a key part in reducing early-stage delinquency and supporting healthy cash flow across Credix’s portfolio.

Qualifications

1–2 year of experience in collections, accounts receivable, customer service, call centers, or operational roles.
Fluent in Portuguese and English.
Comfortable communicating with customers via phone, WhatsApp, and email.
The ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
Comfortable working with basic data (SQL), Excel, internal tools, and spreadsheets.
Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Collaborative mindset work seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
Interest in fintech, operations, or financial services.

Core Responsibilities

Contact customers according to defined schedules and scripts via phone, WhatsApp, and email.
Develop and utilize communication scripts to negotiate.
Follow up on overdue payments and payment promises, ensuring timely actions aligned with the delinquency cycle (e.g., DPD+3, DPD+7).
Provide repayment options to improve the borrower experience.
Accurately log all payment information, customer interactions, agreements, and outcomes in internal systems.

Escalate cases per internal policies and flag recurring issues, customer objections, or process gaps to the Collections Specialist.
Prepare daily and weekly reports on recovery rates, DPD trends, and case resolutions, generating actionable insights to improve collection strategies.
Automate repetitive tasks using tools like SQL to identify inefficiencies and implement workflows that improve process efficiency.
