Job Description:

As a Junior Video Class Teacher, you’ll deliver lively one-on-one and group lessons to young Korean students. Using your engaging teaching style, strong Total Physical Response (TPR) skills, and proficiency with video conferencing tools, you’ll build students’ confidence and interest in English. Well-prepared and organized, you’ll provide a fun, quality learning experience tailored to each learner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Interactive Lessons: Inspire young learners with engaging and interactive lessons.
  • Incorporate TPR Techniques: Use TPR methods and an energetic tone to make learning memorable.
  • Enhance Lessons with Visuals: Use visual aids and props to enrich the virtual classroom experience.
  • Maintain a Professional Setup: Ensure your workspace is visually appealing and free of distractions.

Must-Haves:

  • Experience with Young Learners: Prior experience teaching juniors in one-on-one or group settings.
  • Friendly and Professional Demeanor: Create a welcoming, positive environment to boost student confidence.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage the class and adapt to each student’s learning style.
  • Supplementary Material Skills: Able to create or provide extra materials to enhance student engagement. (Main materials are provided.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • TEYL/ OTA Certification or similar credentials.
  • Familiarity with Korean language and culture.
  • Can also teach Math, Science and History
  • Weekend Availability(Optional): Able to teach on weekends as needed.
  • Gamified Learning Knowledge: Familiar with tools like Kahoot! or Quizlet.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Earn a competitive hourly rate of $15 - $23.
  • Quarterly performance incentives: Earn additional rewards based on a tier system.

Peak class schedules:

  • 6:00 am - 10:00 am Korean Standard Time (KST)
  • 7:00 pm to 12 midnight Korean Standard Time (KST)
