THE OPPORTUNITY

We are hiring a Social Media Specialist to our Marketing team in Mexico City, Mexico!

The Communications team is seeking a talented and experienced Social Media Specialist to play a crucial role in developing and executing engaging and persuasive copy across various digital channels, primarily focusing on social media platforms and community engagement initiatives. You will ensure the delivery of high-quality and on-brand content that effectively communicates our brand message, increases brand awareness, and drives user engagement. As part of our global communications team, the social media & community team at Wellhub is on the pulse of conversation among our followers - not just listening, but participating in and starting thoughtful, exciting and motivating conversations with our audience. The successful candidate will demonstrate both a strategic and creative mindset and have a passion and proven track record of drafting copy relevant to different audiences and social media platforms. As part of this role, you will also serve as the Spanish speaking copy lead, creating content that can serve and engage our community in Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Spain.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Create Compelling Social Content: Develop compelling and creative copy for social media platforms, including Instagram and LinkedIn. Craft engaging captions, headlines, taglines, and descriptions that resonate with the target audience, reflect the brand's voice, and drive user engagement.
  • Deliver Brand Consistency: Ensure that all social media content aligns with the brand's messaging, tone, and style guidelines. Maintain a consistent brand voice across different platforms and adapt the copywriting approach as needed while staying true to the brand's identity.
  • Conduct Thorough Research and Analysis: Understand audience preferences, interests and industry trends, adapting copy accordingly to maximize engagement and reach whilst continually working to improve and innovate our content.
  • Monitor Trends: Stay up to date with the latest social media trends and topics relevant to our industry and target audiences. Develop new content strategies and identify social trends where Wellhub can have an outsized impact, in collaboration with the team.
  • Build Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordination with our creative teams and external agencies for full workflow, project, and campaign assets requests, key visuals delivery, feedback process, and results presentation. Collaborate on the ideation and execution of campaigns, ensuring that the copy aligns with the visual elements and overall campaign objectives.
  • Live the mission: inspire and empower others by genuinely caring for your own wellbeing and your colleagues. Bring wellbeing to the forefront of work, and create a supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable taking care of themselves, taking time off, and finding work-life balance.

WHO YOU ARE

  • A fast learner with 3-5 years of editorial or social media experience (wellness/fitness experience is not necessary, but a plus).
  • Advanced/fluent in English and Spanish (native).
  • Strong communication skills (writing and reading) in English and Spanish.
  • Familiar with creating high-performing assets for social media.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, their unique features, and best practices for engaging business and consumer audiences.
  • Familiarity with community engagement strategies and tactics
  • Hands-on experience building and managing digital communities.
  • Understanding of how cultural trends form and the ability to anticipate and act on them.
  • Proven ability to manage and successfully balance multiple, competing priorities simultaneously with autonomy in a fast-paced, ambiguous, complex and dynamic environment.
  • Passion to continually learn and expand skill set.
  • Remote position, preferably located in the U.S. on ET timezone.
