About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Product Manager with an understanding of financial applications, particularly in post-trade operations across asset classes such as mutual funds, money market funds, fixed income, and derivatives. The ideal candidate will have experience working on full-stack products or systems, meaning they understand both frontend interfaces and backend infrastructures.
This role requires a strong mix of product ownership, technical business analysis, and hands-on collaboration with engineering teams. The candidate must be able to translate complex financial and business requirements into development-ready Jira tickets, work closely with stakeholders to define workflows, and ensure seamless system integration. A financial services background is highly beneficial, along with a strong technical foundation in engineering and consulting.
This position can be in Dallas, Texas or NYC, with expectations to collaborate with our team members in the Dallas or NYC office at least one day per week.
Key Responsibilities
Industry Expertise
- An understanding of prime brokerage, mutual fund operations, or financial services middle/back-office functions.
- Understanding of clearing platforms, fund reconciliation, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in financial services reconciliation processes is a plus.
Product Development & Strategy
- Own the product lifecycle from ideation to delivery, ensuring alignment with business needs and user expectations.
- Write clear, development-ready Jira tickets that engineers can execute without additional clarification.
- Jira tickets must include clear problem statements, system context, edge cases, validation rules, and acceptance criteria—engineers should not need follow-up meetings to begin work.
- Conduct user testing, QA, and troubleshooting, resolving issues in collaboration with the technical team.
- Work closely with engineers to integrate various financial systems (e.g., clearinghouses, subaccounting platforms, and financial institutions).
Collaboration & Leadership
- Lead requirements-gathering sessions with clients, translating business needs into clear, actionable product specs.
- Coordinate with frontend and backend teams to remove blockers and ensure timely development.
- Bridge the gap between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring smooth communication across all phases of product development.
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Conduct in-depth analysis with clients using product documentation to create detailed development-ready Jira tickets.
- Define and document business and technical requirements for financial products and system integrations.
- Work with stakeholders to map out system flows and workflows clearly.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations relevant to mutual funds and post-trade settlements.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (preferably from a top-tier institution).
- 5+ years of experience in technical business analysis in fintech, banking, or investment services.
- Strong experience with financial services systems or platforms, including clearing systems like DTCC, OCC, and other post-trade infrastructure.
- Proven ability to write detailed Jira tickets that are actionable for developers.
- Experience executing basic SQL queries to pull and analyze data.
- Background in building or managing full-stack products (frontend UI + backend systems).
- Technical understanding of APIs, system integrations, and financial data flows.
- Experience in drawing system workflows to clarify complex processes.

- A flexible work environment, with expectations that this individual will be in office at least one day per week to collaborate with team members. This position can be based in Dallas, TX or NYC.
- Opportunity to partner with a mission-driven fintech company at a high-growth stage.
- Collaborative and inclusive work culture where your contributions make an impact.
