Nonco is seeking an Accounting Associate to support the day-to-day financial operations of our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong foundational accounting skills and an interest in digital assets or trading environments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to grow their career in a fast-paced, global organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting Operations

• Assist with accounts payable and receivable processing, including invoice management and vendor payments
• Support monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Maintain accurate general ledger records across multiple entities
• Prepare and review financial documents for accuracy and compliance
• Help ensure proper revenue recognition and expense tracking

Reporting & Compliance

• Assist in preparing internal financial reports for management review
• Support preparation of documentation for audits and tax filings
• Help coordinate with external accountants or tax advisors in Mexico and other jurisdictions (e.g., US, BVI)
• Stay informed of changes in basic accounting and tax regulations relevant to the company

Cross-Functional Support

• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to improve processes and ensure data integrity
• Provide administrative support for payroll and benefits accounting
• Contribute to the implementation of financial systems or tools as needed
• Support data handling both in manual and automated processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience (internships and entry-level roles acceptable)
• Strong Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish, fluency in Portuguese is a plus
• Interest in fintech, crypto, or trading environments is a plus
