About the Role:
Terradot is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Land Journey Manager to design and lead our producer engagement program from first contact through project completion. This role is pivotal in building trust with farmers, ensuring operational readiness, and capturing essential farm data to enable successful deployment of Enhanced Rock Weathering projects at scale.
The Land Journey Manager will be the central point of contact for assigned producers—owning communications, contractual follow-through, and coordination with cross-functional teams (Legal, Operations, Agribusiness, and Science). This role is essential to ensuring smooth farmer onboarding, consistent compliance with buyer and registry requirements, and a positive, long-term partnership experience.
Role Responsibilities:
Farmer Relationship Management: Act as the primary liaison with assigned producers, ensuring smooth communication, trust-building, and timely resolution of inquiries and issues.
Contract Follow-Through: Coordinate with Legal and Operations to ensure all contractual obligations with farmers are clearly communicated, understood, and fulfilled on time.
Operational Readiness & Data Collection: Lead the structured collection, verification, and maintenance of farm data (cropping calendars, tillage practices, nutrient use, land boundaries) to support deployment planning, MRV eligibility, and reporting needs.
Compliance with Buyer & MRV Requirements: Implement and track farmer compliance with clients, Isometric, and other buyer requirements—covering sustainable practice training, agronomic consultations, and adherence to Terradot’s safety protocols.
Process Development & Team Design: Create scalable processes for farmer engagement, and data management. Develop a future-state workforce plan to manage growing producer portfolios as operations scale toward 2026 targets.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Ensure alignment between Farmer Success, Legal, Operations, Agronomy, and MRV teams to deliver a seamless farmer journey after the contract is signed.
Background and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Crop Production, Agricultural Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum 3 years of experience in farmer engagement, rural extension, agricultural project management, or related roles.
Proven ability to manage multiple producer relationships and operational workflows simultaneously.
Strong skills in agricultural data collection, organization, and analysis.
Demonstrated ability to create and implement scalable processes in field operations.
Comfort working in fast-paced, evolving environments with minimal oversight.
Familiar with commercial processes, basic contract handling, and legal documentation workflows
Personal Attributes:
Relationship Builder: High EQ and ability to establish trust with rural stakeholders and internal teams alike.
Structured & Proactive: Anticipates needs, organizes work clearly, and stays ahead of deadlines.
Practical Problem-Solver: Finds workable solutions to rural and operational challenges, even with limited resources.
Cross-Cultural Communicator: Adapts style and approach to different audiences, from smallholder farmers to corporate partners.
Execution-Focused: Keeps projects moving and delivers tangible results, even under ambiguous conditions.
