Legal Subject Matter Expert - be a reliable partner that coordinates and advises cross-functional activities as compliance training and onboarding.
Employment Law Support – Advise HR on labor-related matters (H&S, overtime, paid vacations) with practical, business-first guidance.
Environmental & Regulatory – Monitor evolving environmental laws and regulations, turning them into actionable guidance for field teams.
Contract Protection – Manage notary registrations to secure carbon credit projects and comply with local legal frameworks.
Policy Outreach – Engage with regulators and local authorities to educate them on Terradot’s vision, ensuring our pioneering approach is protected and amplified.
Background and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Law; LLM or postgraduate specialization in Business, Corporate or Agrarian Law preferred.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial law within agribusiness, gained at a top-tier law firm or in a highly qualified in-house team.
Proven track record conducting risk assessments and navigating complex environments.
Strong foundation in contract, agrarian, agrarian, employment, and environmental law.
OAB registration required.
Personal Attributes:
Ownership & Builder Mentality - Proactive, entrepreneurial, and eager to create scalable frameworks
High EQ & Trust Builder - Able to foster ethical decision-making and strong relationships across stakeholders.
Calm & Diplomatic - Level-headed under pressure, with strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
Strategic & Clear Communicator - Can simplify complex legal concepts for diverse audiences.
Scrappy & Pragmatic – Thrives in fast-paced, high-growth, and sometimes ambiguous environments.
Global Perspective - Skilled at navigating cross-cultural and cross-jurisdictional dynamics.
Impact-Driven - Passionate about contributing to a mission with real-world environmental and social impact.
This is a unique opportunity to build and shape the legal function in a fast-growing, high-impact company. If you are a legal leader with a passion for navigating complex regulatory environments and enabling business growth, we’d love to hear from you!
