About the Opportunity:
In order to enable millions of users to explore, interact with, and participate in live events worldwide, StubHub is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to manage the development of next-generation technologies and innovative, impactful features. We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to be embedded within our Purchasing team. In this role you will work closely with the team lead and cross functional product counterparts to build the strategy for this nascent team, and analyze and optimize the team's efficiency.
About the Team:
The cross-border, multicurrency, flexible nature of our platform poses innovation challenges unique to our business and significantly raises the bar for solutions relating to transaction lifecycle and any money movement. The goal of the team is to provide an extendable, robust, accurate and flexible financial platform to allow rapid growth – which means moving with agility, increasing risk tolerance and, at the same time, making sure our financials are intact. By definition, this team sits in between various parts of the business (payments, CX, operations and finance), so cross-team collaboration, intentional trade-offs and balancing out requirements are crucial. You will manage the entire product life cycle from ideation to launch and beyond, including defining product requirements, creating roadmaps, and leading product development.
This role will be based out of our New York, NY office and has a hybrid (3 in-person days per week) work scheduled

What You'll Do:

  • Define the product roadmap and prioritization for Purchasing Team in the context of our broader organizational strategies and goals
  • Drive the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products, features, and/or tools, with accountability for all stages of the product development lifecycle
  • Rapidly learn about the intricacies of cross-border, multi-currency, flexible e-commerce marketplace to understand the complexity and variety of the user flows
  • Lead a cross-functional team of engineers to deliver against an ambitious roadmap that balances short-term optimization with long-term strategic investments
  • Develop and monitors success metrics for Purchasing Team and instill the insight-led & analytical approach in teams within their domain
  • Formulate clear, data-driven business cases, write feature specifications, manage project execution and sequencing – be able to communicate clearly and defend reasoning to stakeholders
  • Build the right products and solutions to enable fast, risk-free growth while remaining compliant and minimizing impact on the bottom line
  • Understand and foster the culture of balance between reducing risk and moving fast
  • Define and analyze metrics to inform the success of a product and develop action plans accordingly
  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving, fast-paced environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm
  • Adopt experimental methodology, mindset and rigor to achieve objectives

What You've Done:

  • 5+ years of product management or close equivalent, with experience in finance space highly valued
  • Ability to manage projects across multiple business organizations and with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ablility to influence outside your area of direct control and negotiate to an optimal solution.
  • Ability to break down complex systems and processes so they can be easily understood, and communicate this to other people within the organization.
  • Ability to analyze data to evaluate the behavior and performance of the platform using tooling such as SQL, Snowflake and/or Tableau.
  • Methodical and patient, able to sequence change to ensure minimal risk
  • Demonstrated ability of strong leadership, organizational and execution skills in a fast-paced environment
