The Opportunity

We're looking for a talented Product Designer to join our dynamic Design team. In this role, you'll be responsible for shaping user experiences that simplify complex challenges across web and mobile platforms. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to conduct research, create high-fidelity prototypes, and continuously iterate based on usability testing and feedback. Our team is passionate about designing intuitive, impactful solutions in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment!

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research with existing members, research panels, and industry experts to challenge design decisions and identify opportunity areas for future products
• Synthesize user and business needs to define the scope and requirements for releases
• Use wireframes, sketches, journey maps, and other tools to create user experiences that simplify complex problems
• Draft high-fidelity, build-ready prototypes for multiple user interfaces (Web, iOS, Android) utilizing the best practices in responsive design
• Conduct usability testing to collect qualitative and quantitative feedback that identifies any friction in current products
• Critique and support fellow designers
• Facilitate meetings and brainstorming sessions that champion design methodologies

• Utilizes a rigorous process to determine the right problem is solved
• A strong understanding of SaaS and mobile technologies
• An excellent eye for aesthetics and a strong understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, and color theory
• A meticulous attention to detail in creating pixel-perfect prototypes and delightful interactions
• The technical fluency to understand limitations and communicate design ideas and intentions during development
• Strong project management skills and a demonstrated ability to work successfully on cross-functional teams
• Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written - and the ability to clearly explain design decisions

Requirements

• 2+ years experience designing products that people love
• A portfolio of shipped work demonstrating an approach towards human-centered design
  
  

Nice to have

• BS, MS, BFA, MFA degree in Design or Computer Science
• Experience in health, benefits, insurance, or care navigation
• Marketing experience
• Fluent in Figma
• Built design systems
• Experience with UX copywriting
• Work in AR/VR
  
  

CA Pay Range

$110,000—$140,000 USD
